Entertainment: USB drive - play media

To play media files from a USB Drive:
• Insert the USB drive into the USB slot on the GB40.
• Select Display then Music JB OR Video JB.
• Select
Playlist Library OR Video Library, as appropriate.
• Select
Use Portable Drive.
• Select the item that you want to play then select
Play
Selected Music.
Entertainment: USB drive - manage your media
Video and audio files can be synchronized, added, deleted or
moved between the GB40's media library and a USB drive.
Note: When moving files to a portable drive or your GB40,
ensure the destination device has enough space for the
transfer.
The USB drive must have these specifically-named directories
under the root directory:
• "
Music" to hold your music files.
• "
Video" to hold your video files.

To move files between your library and your USB drive:
• Insert the USB drive into the USB slot on the GB40.
• Select
Pages then Music JB OR Video JB.
• Select
Playlist Library OR Video Library, as appropriate.
• Select
Transfer Portable Drive.
• The
View By button shows the current setting. Select it to
change the setting.
◦ Album. Lists files by album title.
◦ Artist. Lists files by artist name.
◦ Genre. Lists files by genre.
◦ Video. Lists video files only.
• If you want the exact same content in the USB drive and the
media library, select
Synchronize.
• The main menu will highlight the appropriate options,
depending on the files you select.
• Select a file or group of files, and take the appropriate action.
