To change the LED display on a selected KeyPad, stab on the Display box and select,
from the list which appears in the upper right of the display, a choice of:
Timecode
Time
Date
Date & Time
KeyPad S/N (Serial Number) and Name
Events
The Show Name function overrides any selection made here.
The lower half of the display shows the key function names for the currently selected
KeyPad. Key functions are set up/changed by stabbing on the appropriate key and
then selecting the required function from the scrolling list to the right of the display.
Note that only one function can be assigned to any one key. Macros however (see
Section 8), may comprise several different functions and, once assigned, can be
actioned from a KeyPad key. Where entries in the function list are shown followed by
an asterisk, you will be required to enter the number of the chosen function on a
numeric pop-up.
The following functions (not listed in the same order as on screen, for clarity) are
available:
The MASTER MENUS buttons on the computer front panel.
The AUTOMATION buttons on the computer front panel.
The Serial Machine Control Enables and Record Arm buttons, including the MIX-
DESK display Arm function (Serial MC Arm).
The JOG, VARISPEED, FEEDBACK and MARK (Enter Mark) buttons.
The TRANSPORT control buttons, Rewind, Fast Fwd, Play etc., including Play x 3 and
Rev(erse) Play x 3.
The GOTO function (Goto TC Popup), the five timecode locates (GOTO 6 - 10) and
frame jog buttons (Prev and Next Frame).
All keys on the computer front panel’s numeric keypad. The cursor keys below the
numeric keypad and QUIT and OK buttons.
The Master Control panel DIM and Talkback Select buttons: EXT T/B, F/B A - C etc.
Macros as created in the FILE/SETUP/Desk Setup/Define pop-up (see Section 8).
Show Name enables other KeyPad keys to be interrogated for their name/function
(see also Page 7-19).
