1.4 Tabletop Articulation and Weight Limitation
NOTE: Accessories may have a specified weight limitation that is less than that of the table. Do not exceed the
lowest weight limit, table or accessory.
Do not exceed the maximum patient weights specified in the associated Warnings.
1.4.1 Positioning Patient on Table
1. Always check patient stability when patient is positioned.
2. Do not place patient on the table unless floor locks are engaged.
3. Use extreme care when transferring patients to or from table.
4. Ensure all accessories are properly installed and secured.
5. Check for and eliminate harmful patient pressure points once patient is positioned.
6. Have a qualified medical professional monitor patient during surgery for all possible tabletop articulation
hazards.
7. Do not exceed 350 lbs. (159 kg) on the Leg Section. Leg Section is not designed to support full body weight.
8. Dual-articulating headrest side rails support 100 ft-lbs. (135N•m) maximum. The headrest end rail supports
50 ft-lbs. (67 N•m) maximum. Exceeding these limits could result in injury or possible equipment damage.
IMPORTANT:All patients must be restrained for proper safety regardless of the length or type of procedure.
NOTE: STERIS recommends only using STERIS manufactured or distributed accessories with this table. Use of
accessories not manufactured or approved by STERIS may not be compatible with this table and could result in
injuries or equipment damage.
WARNING – TIPPING HAZARD:
Do not place patient on the table unless floor locks are engaged.
Do not use this table for patients exceeding the maximum patient weight of:
1100 lbs. (499 kg) Load, Normal and Reverse Patient Position; raise or lower only (no
tabletop articulation or slide).
1000 lbs. (454 kg) Load, Normal and Reverse Patient Position; raise or lower; includes all
tabletop articulation except tabletop slide.
• 600 lbs. (272 kg) Load, Normal Patient Position; raise or lower; includes all tabletop
articulation and full tabletop slide, (also includes Reverse patient slide toward patient feet but
not patient slide toward patient head).
• 575 lbs. (260 kg) Load, Normal and Reverse Patient; raise or lower; includes all tabletop
articulation and full tabletop slide, including reverse patient slide toward patient feet and
toward patient head.
WARNING – PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD:
With exception of slight repositioning, as detailed in the operating instructions, floor locks
must be engaged when patient is on table. Failure to engage the floor locks before placing
a patient on the table or disengaging the floor locks while a patient is on the table could
result in the table rolling unexpectedly during the procedure. Failure to heed this warning
can result in injury to both the patient and the operating room staff.
Healthcare professionals must ensure patients are positioned and monitored so as to prevent
compromising respiration, nerve pathways or circulation
.
Do not exceed 350 lbs. (159 kg) on the leg section.
