6.3.5 Cleaning the Hand Control (After each use and weekly)
IMPORTANT! Prior to cleaning, ensure familiarity with Section 1, Safety Precautions and Pinch Points.
NOTE: Do NOT immerse hand control in liquid.
1. Turn hand control OFF.
2. Hold can of spray cleaning fluid 6-8" (152-203 mm) from surface and spray cleaning fluid liberally on hand
control.
3. Wipe sprayed surfaces with a clean, lint-free cloth dampened with water to remove cleaning fluid. Note that
dampening cloth minimizes streaking.
6.3.6 Cleaning Casters and Floor Locks (Weekly)
IMPORTANT! Prior to cleaning, ensure familiarity with Section 1, Safety Precautions and Pinch Points.
1. Check table casters and floor locks for accumulated debris.
2. Ensure floor locks are properly engaged (raising casters off floor).
3. Hold can of spray cleaning fluid 6-8" (152-203 mm) from caster.
4. Spray cleaning fluid liberally on caster.
5. Wipe caster with a cloth, dampened with water, to remove cleaning fluid and debris.
6. Repeat for the remaining three casters.
6.3.7 Cleaning Areas Exposed by Articulation (Weekly)
IMPORTANT! Prior to cleaning, ensure familiarity with Section 1, Safety Precautions and Pinch Points.
This procedure requires articulating the table through as many positions as needed to expose all articulation-
related surfaces to allow for cleaning.
1. Using Hand Control, articulate table to expose surface to be cleaned.
2. Hold can of spray cleaning fluid 6-8" (152-203 mm) from surface to be cleaned and spray cleaning fluid
liberally on surface.
3. Wipe sprayed surfaces with a clean, lint-free cloth, dampened with water to remove cleaning fluid.
4. Wipe cleaned surfaces again with a clean, damp, lint-free cloth to remove any remaining residue.
5. Ensure cleaned area is dry.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for other articulation-related surfaces.
7. If table will not be used, turn hand control OFF when finished with cleaning procedure.
6.4 Bi-Weekly Maintenance
Operate each STERIS 4095 General Surgical Table function (refer to SECTION 5, SURGICAL TABLE OPERATION).
Operation must be smooth and quiet. If table operation is not smooth, have a qualified technician repair the table.
Never permit inexperienced, unqualified persons to attempt to make any repairs to the table.
