Interface
Clicking the INTERFACE tab brings up the RIP INTERFACE page (Figure 5-108). The
parameters for this page are shown in Table 5-90.

Parameter Description
Interface This parameter specifies the Interface ID for which RIP needs to be configured.
IP Address This parameter specifies the IP address of the RIP interface.
Status This parameter specifies the admin status of the interface.
Split Horizon This parameter specifies the operational status of Split Horizon in the system.
Default Route
Installation
This parameter specifies whether Default Route Installation can be done or not.
Send Version
This parameter allows selecting the RIP packets sent to be compatible to either
RIPV1, RIP1 Compatible or RIPv2.
Receive Version
This parameter is similar to S
END VERSION, but it allows you to choose the RIP
packets to be received as either RIPV1, RIPV2, both RIPv1 and RIPv2 or None.
Route Age Timer
This parameter specifies the time interval after which the routes will be flushed.
The allowed value ranges between 30 and 500. The default value is 180.
