Local Pref
Clicking the LOCAL PREF tab brings up the BGP LOCAL PREFERENCE CONFIGURATION
page (Figure 5-129), which allows you to configure the Local Preference value for
routes. The parameters for this page are shown in Table 5-110.
Direction
This parameter can be set for the incoming or the outgoing packets using In and
Out values.
Value
This parameter specifies the MED value to be associated with this path learned.
The allowed value ranges between 0 and 32.
Preference This parameter is used to enable/disable filtering.
Status This parameter indicates the status of the entry.

Parameter Description
Local Preference ID
This parameter specifies the Local Preference ID, which is the index for this
table. The allowed value ranges between 1 and 10.
Remote AS
This parameter specifies the AS number from which the route update is
received. The allowed value ranges between 0 and 65535.
IP Address Prefix This parameter specifies the IP Address prefix for which the update is received.
