• Remove the master cylinder rod pin X.
• Remove the brake pedal pivot bolt Y and return spring Z.
• Remove the kick starter lever \ by removing its bolt [.
• Remove the gearshift lever ]. (9-3)
NOTE:
Mark A the gearshift shaft head at which the gearshift lever slit
set for correct reinstallation.
• Remove the engine sprocket cover ^ and front chain guide
plate a.
• Remove the drive chain clip b, and release the drive chain
c.
• Remove the snap ring d and engine sprocket e.

• Remove the engine mounting upper brackets g by removing
their bolts and nut f.
• Remove the engine mounting front brackets i, by removing
their bolts and nuts h.
NOTE:
Do not lose the shim between left engine mounting front bracket
i and engine.
• Remove the engine mounting bolt and nut j.
• Remove the swingarm pivot shaft nut k and washer l.
• Extract three quarters of the swingarm pivot shaft m so as to
keep the swingarm in position.
NOTE:
The swingarm will come off when the swingarm pivot shaft m is
completely removed.
• Remove the engine from the frame.
