Cube 8 | Operating Manual | May 2018 | Revision 032 145
The pane contains the following options:
Event count: Select the check box to measure a defined number of
events. In the "Stop Condition" box, click the arrow to expand a
drop-down list and select the desired condition (ungated or the required
gate) to base the stop event count on. The default option is "ungated".
In the "Event Count" box, enter the desired number of events. During
acquisition, once this entered acquisition event count is reached,
acquisition will stop. The default event count is 5,000 events. The event
count range is 1 to 100,000,000 events.
Time: Select the check box to define a stop time and enter the desired
value (in seconds) for the acquisition stop time after which the acquisition
of the sample is to be stopped. The default value for the stop time is 300
seconds. The stop time range is 1 – 999,999 seconds.
Volume: Select the check box to define a volume to be measured and
enter the desired value (in µl) for the volume. During acquisition, once
this stop volume is reached, acquisition will stop. For manual acquisition,
the default stop volume is 200 µl and the range is 1 to 1200 µl.
TVAC: The check box is only enabled for manual acquisition. Select the
"TVAC" check box (True Volumetric Absolute Counting) to measure a
fixed volume of 200 µl between the start and stop electrodes in the
sample. When the TVAC check box is selected, all other Workspace stop
settings will be ignored. The TVAC parameter in the Parameters list of
the Setup pane will be checked automatically.
The TVAC parameter sorts events into two different channels for the
different stages of TVAC: All events acquired prior to the sample passing
the start electrode will be placed in the "preTVAC" channel of the TVAC
parameter. All events acquired proceeding the sample passing the start
electrode will be placed in the "TVAC events" channel of the TVAC
parameter. Acquisition will be stopped when the sample passes the stop
electrode.
