1. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
2. Remove the belt cover.
3. Remove the extension spring from the anchor post
(Fig. 630).
5. Removethespacer,twowashers,andtwofriction
washers from the assembly (Fig. 632).

4. Remove the bolt and nut securing the idler assembly
to the idler mount (Fig. 631).

6. Removethecarriagebolt,washer,andangenut
securing the idler pulley to the idler arm (Fig. 633).
