3. Secure the idler assembly to the idler mount using
theboltandnut(Fig.638).
1. Raise the machine to access the underside of the
deck.
2. Remove the carriage bolt and nut securing the LH
sideofthebafe(Fig.640).

4. Install the extension spring to the idler bracket and
spring anchor (Fig. 639).

3. 36” Deck Only: Remove the carriage bolt and nut

5. Install the belt cover.
