Engine Base Replacement
Engine Base Removal
1. Remove the negative (black) battery cable from the
battery, then remove the positive (red) cable (Fig.
080).
3. Remove the deck belt extension spring from the
deck anchor post, then remove the belt from around
the clutch pulley (Fig. 082).

2. Remove the two sets of hold down bolts and wing
nuts securing the battery cover (Fig. 081).

4. Remove the bolt, washer, and nut securing the front
strut to the carrier frame (Fig. 083).
