Turning the Sensor on and o
Do not attempt to turn on the Sensor until you have installed the Sensor in a rack and made all the necessary network
connections.
Steps:
1. Connect the power cable to the Sensor power supply.
2. Connect the power cable to a power source.
If you are installing a redundant power supply, you should install it as described in Install a new power supply section.
For true redundant operation with the redundant power supply,Trellix recommends that you plug each supply into a
dierent power circuit.
The Sensor has no power switch. The Sensor turns on as soon as one of its power cables is connected to a power
source.Trellix recommends that you use the shutdownCLI command to halt the Sensor before turning it o. For more
information on CLI commands, see the CLI commands section in Trellix Intrusion Prevention System Product Guide for specic
Sensor software version you are running.
