Replacing Fuses
Interface Unit FSI102 contains a two-pole circuit breaker in the AC
(mains) line, mounted on a DIN rail. Both the phase and return lines go
through the circuit breaker. The secondary side of the transformer is fuse
protected by four glass tube fuses: one in the DC voltage line and three
for heaters (LM21 5 Amps, PWD32 5 Amps, and FSM102 10 Amps).
The fuses are located on the FSP103 board. The fuse holders are visible
through a transparent plastic shield covering the live circuits, see Figure
51 on page 188.
To replace the fuses, proceed as follows:
CAUTION
AC (mains) circuit breaker OFF before replacing
.
1. Switch off the AC (mains) circuit breaker.
2. Remove the plastic protector shield from FSP103.
3. Remove the broken fuse.
4. Replace the fuse with a spare (a 10 A for the FSM102 heater line
and a slow 5 A for the LM21 and PWD32 heater lines). The spares
are stored in a plastic bag attached to the power cable inside the
interface unit's enclosure.
5. Attach the plastic protector shield back to the FSP103 board.
6. Turn the AC (mains) circuit breaker back on and verify that all four
LEDs are lit on the FSP103 board to indicate that all heater supply
lines as well as the DC power supply are OK.
