Problem
Probable Cause
Remedy
To prevent collisions in half-duplex RS-485
bus, switch line feeds off from your terminal
software.
Line is broken or a wire is
loose.
If you are using RS-232 or RS-485 data lines
verify that the TXD LED on the FSC202
board blinks when you send characters to
the line.
Check the cable connections.
Data messages
arrive but the
measurement values
are wrong and do
not change
Test message simulation has
not been turned off.
Give the command SIMULATE
TEST_MESSAGE OFF.
Reset LED inside
the FSI102 does not
light up when power
is turned on
AC (mains) fuse or the DC
output line fuse on FSP103 is
blown.
Check and replace the blown fuse on the
FSP103 board as described in section
PWD32 Forward Scatter Calibration on page
184.
Status LED inside
FSI102 is giving a
fast flash instead of
a long flash of 1 Hz
There is an indication on the
FSC202 board.
Check the content of the indication from the
status message and follow the instructions
above.
Status LED inside
the FSI102 is giving
two fast flashes
instead of blinking at
1 Hz constant rate.
There is a warning on the
FSC202 board.
Check the content of the warning from the
status message and follow the instructions
above.
Status LED inside
FSI102 is giving
three fast flashes
instead of blinking at
a constant rate of
1 Hz.
There is an alarm on the
FSC202 board.
Check the content of the alarm from the
status message and follow the instructions
above.
Status LED inside
FSI102 is giving four
fast flashes instead
of blinking at a
constant rate of
1 Hz.
There is an error on the
FSC202 board.
Check the content of the error from the
status message and follow the instructions
above.
