The DC switch is used to interrupt the battery-based power supply for
storage, transportation, and maintenance of the instrument.
CAUTION
Do not short circuit the battery.
NOTE
A valve-regulated lead battery is used for the battery backup. According
to the ISO 14001, the battery must be recycled.
