55-2 Supplemental Operations D7x11 Series II Navigator Directional Drill
Jump-Starting Procedure
IMPORTANT: Review battery service safety guidelines before jump-starting machine (refer to battery
maintenance instructions in the Maintenance Manual).
Step 1: Turn ignition key OFF.
Step 2: Turn Battery Ground Disconnect
Switch (1) to counterclockwise to
disconnect battery ground.
Step 3: Remove 3 bolts (2) and battery shield
(3) to access battery.
WARNING: Battery post, terminals, and related accessories contain lead and lead
compounds, chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and
reproductive harm.
Wash hands after handling.
