Printer Location and Clearance
■ Place the printer in a dust-free area where the temperature range is 50 degrees F to 89
degrees F (10 degrees C to 32 degrees C) and the relative humidity range is between
20% to 80%.
■ Place the printer in an area where there is adequate space for ventilation, operation,
and servicing. See the clearance graphic below.
■ Do not block or cover the slots and openings on the printer. The printer can overheat
without adequate ventilation.
■ For altitudes under 2,050 meters (6,726 feet), use the Low Altitude setting. For
altitudes over 2,050 meters (6,726 feet), use the High Altitude setting.
■ Do not place the printer near a heat source.
■ Do not place the printer in direct sunlight.
■ Do not place the printer in line with the cold air flow from an air conditioning system.
■ Place the printer on a level, solid surface with adequate strength for the weight of the
printer.
