Printer Controls
Image Processor Function
The host computer connects to the Main Board using a bi-directional parallel, Universal Serial
Bus (USB) cable, or via an optional Ethernet Network Card. The Main Board receives image
data from the host computer, converts this to a bitmap image, and then sends the current image
to the Laser Scanner Assembly.
Print Engine Control
The engine control section provides all of the principle operating voltages and control signals
for the following printer operations:
Main Drive Motor
Fuser Assembly
High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS)
Laser Scanner Unit (LSU)
Sensors
Solenoids
Thermistor
All parts related to the xerographic process
Optional Paper Tray 3 and Tray 1
