It might be necessary to remove power from an XSeries
G5
for maintenance. This procedure describes
the removal and reconnection of power. For terminal block connectors, you do not need to remove
individual wires. Remove the connector block to avoid rewiring.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not remove power if the device does not have the lithium battery
enabled or in place. If the lithium battery is not enabled, has failed, or was removed, the
clock resets to factory defaults. See section 10.7.2 Replace the lithium battery.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This procedure requires physical access to the device, to open the
enclosure door for access to the electronic board.
10.5.1 Remove power from the electronic board
The primary power source connecting to the board can be the battery in the enclosure or an outside
power source. Disconnect power accordingly:
