Weekly maintenance:
Cooling well
Clean the cooling well using a flexible swab dampened
with isopropyl alcohol from the Swab Cleaner Kit
(p/n202850). The Swab Cleaner Kit is included with the
accessory kit.
The cooling well [B] is accessible from the front of the
instrument.
1. Remove the turntable from the instrument to access
the cooling well.
2. Insert the flexible swab into the round opening to
clean the cooling well.

Monthly maintenance:
Exhaust fans
Examine the exhaust fans [C] on the rear of the
instrument to ensure they not obstructed by dust or
debris.

To clean the exhaust fans:
1. Power o the instrument.
2. Use compressed air to remove the debris.
Semi-annual maintenance:
Solenoid
A dirty solenoid can cause Sample Did Not Freeze errors
and can aect instrument accuracy and repeatability.
If you suspect the solenoid function has degraded, follow
the instructions below to inspect, clean, or replace it.
You should also clean the solenoid periodically as part of
routine maintenance:
• If the instrument is used daily: Clean the solenoid
monthly.
• If the instrument is used only occasionally: Clean the
solenoid every three months.
This area of this instrument comes into contact
with biohazardous materials. Take appropriate
precautions.
1. Remove the four screws [D] securing the rear
enclosure and set the screws aside.
2. Slide the rear and side enclosure o of the instrument.

3. Loosen the two solenoid bracket screws [E] and
carefully remove the plunger and spring.
