f. When Using a Shunt Resistor (Force/displacement- equipped specification)
1) The MM-400A allows for current measurement connecting a shunt resistor
connected to the shunt resistor input.
A shunt resistor is a resistor for detecting current of a circuit. It is connected in
series to the welding current circuit.
Be sure to using a shunt floating it from the ground. Note that a resistance
value changes by heat. Take care when using it with high current or high duty
cycle. Also, it is not affected by an inductance component by using a
noninductive type.
