Telephone settings
Cordless handset and telephone base settings
Ringer volume
You can select the ringer volume for incoming calls on all lines.
Using a cordless handset:
1. Press MENU in idle mode to enter the main menu.
2. Press CID or DIR to highlight Ringers, and then
press SELECT .
3. Press SELECT to choose Ringer volume.
4. Press CID or DIR to highlight All lines, Line 1, Line 2,
Cell A, Cell B, or PC call, and then press SELECT .
5. Press CID or DIR to sample each ringer volume.
6. Press SELECT to save. Your hear a conrmation tone and
the screen returns to the previous menu.
Using the telephone base:
1. Press MENU in idle mode to enter the main menu.
2. Press CID, DIR, /RECORD, or /DELETE to
highlight Ringers, and then press SELECT .
3. Press SELECT to choose Ringer volume.
4. Press CID, DIR, /RECORD, or /DELETE to
highlight All lines, Line 1, Line 2, CELL A, Cell B, or
PC call, and then press SELECT .
5. Press CID, DIR, /RECORD, or /DELETE to
sample each ringer volume.
6. Press SELECT to save. Your hear a conrmation tone
and the screen returns to the previous menu.

1. Press q/VOLUME/p on the telephone base to set the ringer volume while
the telephone base is in idle mode.
2. Press SELECT to conrm and you hear a conrmation tone.
NOTES:
X Changing the handset ringer volume does not aect the base ringer volume, and vice versa.
X The ringer volume level also determines the ringer levels of intercom calls (page 91).
X If the ringer volume on line 1 and/or line 2 is set to o, the screen will display L1) Ringer o
and/or L2) Ringer o.
X If the ringer volume on cell A line, cell B line, or both cell lines are set to o, the screen will
display CL) A Ringer o, CL) B Ringer o, or CL) Ringers o, respectively.
X If the ringer volume on PC line is set to o, the screen will display the PC ringer o icon

X If the ringer volume is set to o, the caller ID will not be announced and the screen will briey
display Caller ID won’t be announced.
