Telephone operation
Options while on calls
Volume control
While on a call, you can adjust the listening volume on the cordless handset,
telephone base, or cordless headset.
If it is a cell call and the volume is too loud, too quiet or drops out, try changing
the volume on your cell phone. On some cell phones, changing the volume on
the cell phone aects your cell call volume on the TL87203 telephone base or
cordless handset.
To adjust the listening volume of a cordless handset:
X Press CID/VOLUME or DIR/VOLUME while on a call.
To adjust the listening volume of the telephone base:
X Press /VOLUME/ while on a call.
To adjust the listening volume of a cordless headset:
X While on a call, slide the volume switch at the top of the headset towards
VOL+ or VOL- to adjust the listening volume.
NOTES:
X The cordless handset earpiece volume setting (1-6) and speakerphone volume setting
(1-6) are independent. The corded handset earpiece volume setting (1-8) and telephone base
speakerphone volume setting (1-8) are also independent.
X When the cordless headset listening volume reaches the minimum or maximum setting, you
hear two beeps.
Mute
Use the mute function to turn o the microphone. You can hear the caller,
but the caller cannot hear you.
Using a cordless handset:
To mute a call:
X While on a call, press MUTE/DELETE on the handset. When mute is on, the
handset screen shows Microphone o for a few seconds and the MUTE icon
appears until the mute function is turned o.
To take a call o mute:
X Press MUTE/DELETE on the handset and resume speaking, the MUTE icon
disappears, and the screen shows Microphone on for a few seconds.
Using the telephone base:
To mute a call:
X While on a call, press MUTE on the telephone base. When mute is on, the
handset screen shows Microphone o for a few seconds and the MUTE icon
appears until the mute function is turned o.
To take a call o mute:
X Press MUTE on the telephone base and resume speaking, the MUTE icon
disappears, and the screen shows Microphone on for a few seconds.
Mute is automatically canceled when you end the call.
