– Detach coolant hose -arrow- at coolant expansion tank.
– Remove bolts -2- and -3-.
– Detach air pipe from hoses -1- and -4- and remove pipe
downwards.
– Unscrew bolts -1 ... 4- and remove intermediate pipe.
Shown in illustration with engine removed.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the follow-
ing:
Renew seals and gaskets.
– Tighten bolts securing intermediate pipe to exhaust mani-
fold as follows:
1. Tighten with torque wrench initially to 10 Nm.
2. Tighten with torque wrench to 30 Nm.
3. Turn 90° (

4
turn) further using a rigid wrench.
– Fill cooling system ⇒ page 162.
