Start Rotation
NOTES:
If Rotation Therapy is desired with Bed Exit on, Bed Exit must be turned on before Rotation
Therapy is started. Only Out of Bed Mode will work during Rotation Therapy.
Bed Exit Position Mode (most sensitive) or Exiting Mode (middle mode) is active, Bed Exit will
switch to Out of Bed Mode (least sensitive) during Rotation Therapy. Once the therapy is
complete the bed will re-arm to the initial Bed Exit Alert Mode.
1. Press the Pulmonary Therapy menu control on the
GCI screen.
2. Press Rotation.
3. Select Full, Moderate, Minimum or Custom.
4. Training Mode/Patient Acclimation: Yes/No (Starts
rotation at 50% of maximum programmed turn and
increases 10% each hour for patient acclimation).
NOTE:
Patient Acclimation shows on some bed models.
Patient Acclimation has the same function as the
Training Mode. Press the drop down menu to select the
applicable setting.
5. Press Start to begin Rotation.
NOTE:
Some bed models have the Preview function. The Preview function moves through the rotation
therapy settings without any pauses to check lines and patient condition. The therapy will not start
automatically. See the Accelerate Surface Rotation screen below.
