• Power supply cables must be connected to the R, S, and T terminals and output wiring to the motor
must be connected to the U, V, and W terminals. Opposite connections may damage the product.
• Power Terminals (R/S/T, U/V/W and B1/B2) provide a Screw Clamp type connection. It is recommended
to use a Ring type terminal to meet UL connection requirements eventhough the terminals will accept
Spade, Slotted Ring, Ferrule and bare wire connections,
• The inverter’s power terminal connections can cause harmonics that may interfere with other
communication devices located near to the inverter. To reduce interference the installation of noise
filters or line filters may be required.
• Are power factor correction capacitors, surge protection and electromagnetic interference filters
installed correctly?
• If a contactor is installed on the output side of the inverter (motor side), do not operate the contactor in
conjunction with the inverter start/stop control.
• Metal debris in the inverter may cause inverter failure.
Step 4 Control Terminal Wiring
The illustrations below show the detailed layout of control wiring terminals, and control board
switches. Ensure that the cables selected meet or exceed the specifications in 1.5 Cable Selection
on page 7 before installing them.
