2.3 Proper use
The Bioselect separator is a separation system for the separation
of solids and liquids in various types of digestate containing solids
as well as in agricultural liquid manure.
The substrate must be mixed homogeneously.
The original medium is separated into a thickened, almost solid
phase and a liquid phase by means of a purely mechanical
process, and without additives such as thickening or flocculating
agents.
The substrate that is to be processed may not contain harder
solids such as stones, iron parts, etc. Such solids could damage
the screen, for example.
NOTE!
The separator or entire unit is configured exclusively for the
operating conditions entered in your request/order and
specified in the order confirmation and enclosed data sheet.
In essence, the separator is suitable for different substrates of the
type described.
When changing the substrate that is to be separated, it may
be necessary to adjust the pre-tension acting on the Multi
Disc (cf.
Ä
Chapter 3 “Product Description” on page 44) in
order to achieve the required separation result.
The uninterrupted, unobstructed, steady feed of the substrate
during operation must be ensured.
The slot opening width of the screen is determined by the
specifications contained in the order. The wedge wire screen
may need to be changed for a substrate that deviates from
that which was specified in the order.
