2.12 Safety instructions for maintenance and rectifying malfunctions
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to inadequate troubleshooting, mainte-
nance and repair work!
Inadequate troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work can
lead to severe injury and significant material damage.
To the extent necessary, amply secure the surrounding area
when performing maintenance. Cordon off the working area
with a red and white safety chain and a warning sign.
Ensure sufficient installation space before commencing work.
Keep the installation site clean and tidy! Loosely stacked or
scattered components and tools cause accidents.
Ensure correct installation where components have been
removed, reinstall all fastening elements and observe the
tightening torques of screws.
Ensure the following before putting the machine back into
operation:
Ensure that all troubleshooting, maintenance and repair
work is performed and completed as per the information
and notes provided in this manual.
Ensure that nobody enters the hazardous area.
Ensure that all covers and safety features are installed
and function correctly.
WARNING!
Risk of fatal injury if the plant is switched back on uncon-
trolledly or without authorization!
Switching the Börger machine on without authorization or uncon-
trolledly can cause serious injuries.
Before switching back on, make sure that all safety devices
are fitted and fully functional and that staff are not at any risk.
Always adhere to the sequence to secure the plant to prevent
it from being switched back on.
