Inappropriate handling of environmentally hazardous substances,
especially incorrect disposal, can cause significant damage to the
environment.
— Especially water-polluting materials such as grease and lubri-
cating oil must not pollute the soil or enter the sewage system
during installation, repair and maintenance work.
— These materials must be collected, stored, transported
and disposed of in suitable containers.
— When handling oil, grease and other chemical substances,
pay attention and adhere to the applicable regulations and
safety data sheets issued by the respective manufacturer
relating to storage, handling, correct use and disposal.
— Comply with the legal obligations regarding waste avoidance
and the proper recycling/disposal of waste during all work
5.1 Commissioning

— The heat-absorbing quench fluid prevents the mechanical
seal from running dry and captures any medium that enters
the intermediate chamber due to leaks in the mechanical seal.
— This quench function also prevents the gear unit from being
damaged by the ingress of medium.
— Make sure that the fill level in the intermediate chamber is suf-
ficient.
