NOTICE!
Sufficient air circulation at the drive!
— Ensure that there is sufficient circulation of air around the
drive; see the drive manufacturer's operating manual.
NOTE!
Installation of the drive
If your Bioselect was delivered without a drive, then the drive
must be installed first.
NOTICE!
Wrong drive
If an inadequate drive is installed, the risk of damage to the
device and the environment cannot be excluded.
— Only if an appropriate special version of the Bioselect sepa-
rator was delivered as agreed, for example, in respect of the
configuration and length of the shaft, can the installation of
another, previously agreed upon drive be effected.
— Such a special version is then specified in the supplied data
sheet.
— Read and follow the safety instructions detailed in
Ä
Chapter
2.12 “Safety instructions for maintenance and rectifying mal-
functions” on page 37.
— To the extent necessary, amply secure the surrounding area
when performing installation. Cordon off the working area with
a red and white safety chain and a warning sign.
1. Read the drive manufacturer’s operating manual.
2. Ensure that the parallel keys are correctly positioned in the
keyway of the separator's drive shaft.
3. Install the drive according to the operating manual of the
drive manufacturer, paying particular attention to the instruc-
tions on the installation of the solid shaft with parallel key into
the hollow shaft of the gear unit (also refer to
Ä
Chapter 6.3.3
“Replacing the mechanical seal” on page 137).
