Problem Cause/Things to Check Solution
The print media cannot
be fed properly.
Is there any load on the tube or
plate transport?
Place the printer and the print
media on the same table (or at
the same vertical position) so
that no load is applied to the
transport.
When using a tube reel, lighten
the load.
Are the transport rollers dirty? Clean the transport rollers.
We recommend cleaning the
rollers about once a month.
(P.185)
The tube may not be fed
properly due to deformation of
the part that was pinched by
the transfer roller.
Try setting the rewind
movement to "On."
(P.200)
Also, cut o the deformed part
and reload the print media.
Is there glue on the media
delivery port of the label tape?
Check to see if glue is sticking
to the media delivery port of
the label tape.
(P.25)
If glue is adhered to the media
delivery port of the label tape,
the label tape may become
stuck.
Is the operating environment
appropriate?
For information concerning the
operating environment, refer
to
"Speci cations (P.226)"
.
If you use a tube warmer
(optional), you can print at
external temperatures as low
as 5˚C (41˚F).
The device cannot make
full cuts.
The device cannot make
half cuts.
Half cuts are cut too
deep.
Are the cutter and blade
receiver set correctly?
Refer to
"Replacing the
Cutter (P.189)"
for
information on how to set
the cutter and blade receiver
correctly.
Are the depth and motion of
the cut appropriate?
Please adjust the depth
(P.96)
and motion
(P.100)
of the cutter.
Is it time to replace the cutter? Replace the cutter and blade
receiver.
