Batteryisolator
1.Thevehicleisequippedwithabatteryisolatorthatsup-
pliesbatterypowertothevehicle.Thebatteryisola-
toriscontrolledbythevehiclecontrollerandthetimed
disconnectswitchlocatedattherearofthemachine
inthebatterybox.

2.ThevehiclecontrollerwillturnONthebatteryisolator
withthefollowinginputs:
Timeddisconnectswitch
Keyswitch
Doorswitch
3.Undernormaloperationwhenthetimeddisconnect
switchisinONposition(switchclosed)andtheoper-
atoreitheropensthedoororturnsthekeyswitchfrom
OFFtoACCorONposition,thevehiclecontrollerwill
turnONthebatteryisolator.
4.ThevehiclecontrollerwillturnOFFtheisolatorwhen
thekeyswitchhasbeeninOFFpositionforaperiodof
time(about5min)toallowvehiclefunctionstocom-
pletepriortoturningOFFthebatteryisolator.
5.IfthetimeddisconnectswitchisinOFFposition
(switchopen),thevehiclewillnotturnONthebattery
isolator.
6.IfthetimeddisconnectswitchisinONposition(with
keyinOFFposition),butfor5minnoneoftheactions
beforedescribedarecarriedoutorthemachineisnot
used,thepowersupplyisexcludedthroughtheUCM
andtherelays.
Torestorethepowersupply,switchtoOFFposition
rstandthenswitchbacktoONpositionorturnthe
keytoONposition.
7.Theoperatorcanhearanaudible“click”whenthebat-
teryisolatoropensandcloses.
