Makesurethatthevoltageoftheboosterbatteriesis
thesameasthatofthemachinesystem(12Veach
battery).Thebatteriesarelocatedontheleft-handside
ofthemachine.
1.Turnofftheignitionandallaccessoriesonthemachine.
Removethebatterycoverfromleft-handsideofthe
machine.Removethebatteryterminalcovers.
2.Identifythedischargedbattery.
3.Connectoneendofthepositive(+)cabletothepositive
(+)terminalontheboosterbattery.Connecttheother
endofthepositive(+)cabletothepositive(+)terminal
ofthedischargedbattery.
4.Connectthenegative(-)cabletothenegative(-)termi-
nalontheboosterbattery.
5.Connecttheotherendofthenegativecabletotheen-
gineblockorframeofthemachinewiththedischarged
battery.Donotconnecttothenegativeterminalonthe
battery.
NOTICE:donotconnecttheotherendofthenegativeca-
bletosheetmetaloranyrotatingpart,asdamagecanre-
sult.
6.Starttheengine.
7.Removetheboosterbatterynegative(-)cablefromthe
machine,thenfromtheboosterbattery.Removethe
positive(+)cablefromthemachineandthenfromthe
boosterbattery.
8.Installtheterminalcovers.
