Makesurethemachinehascometoa
completestopbeforeapplyingtheparking
brake.
Theparkingbrakebuttonengagestheparkingbrakeon
thetransmissionoutputshaft.
NOTICE:theparkingbrakeisaspringapplied,hydraulic
releasedbrakewhichisappliedtothedriveshaft.The
parkingbrakewilleffectivelyholdthemachineinplace
whenusedcorrectly.

Engagingtheparkingbrake
Toengagetheparkingbrake,movethetransmissioncon-
trollevertoNEUTRAL(N),stopthemachineandpush
theparkingbrakebutton.Theparkingbrakewillautomat-
icallyengagewhenthemachineisshutoff.
NOTICE:afailureintheoperatingprocedureorafailure
intheelectricalorhydraulicfunctioncanresultinabrupt
engagementoftheparkingbrake.Alwayswearyourseat
belt.
NOTICE:applytheparkingbrakepriortoleavingthecab
and/orparkingthemachineonslopes.
Parkingbrakerelease
NOTE:theservicebrakemustbeatoperatingpressure
beforetheparkingbrakecanbereleasedtomovethema-
chine.Thebrakepressureindicatorlamponmultifunc-
tiondisplaymustnotbeilluminatedwhendisengagingthe
parkingbrake.Attemptingtomovethemachinepriorto
theservicebrakepressuresbeingsufcientcausinglow
operatingpressurecanresultinprematureparkingbrake
padwear.
