Beforestartingtheengine
1.Performadailywalkaroundandvisualinspection
ofthemachine.Checkforlooseconnections,faulty
hoses,oilleaks,debrisortrashbuildup,loosebolts,
damaged,ormissingpartsthatcouldaffectthenor-
malandsafeoperationofthemachine.Makeany
necessarycorrectionsbeforeoperatingthemachine.
2.Seethequickreference“MaintenanceChart”–Chap-
ter7inthismanualandcompletetheitemsinthedaily
-10hourssectionofthechart.
3.Checkthatthemachinefueltankislledwithclean
fuelthatmatchesthespecicationsgivenin“General
specication-Dieselfuel"–Chapter7inthismanual.
4.CheckandmakecertaintheDEF/ADBLUE®tankis
properlylled.Lowvolumeinthetankcancauseloss
ofpowerandtorque.FilltheDEF/ADBLUE®tankafter
approximately1.5fuellls.DonotallowtheDEF/
ADBLUE®tanktodropbelow10%volumeforthebest
engineperformance.
Themachinewilllastlonger,givebetterandmore
economicalperformance,ifyoupayparticularattention
totheengineandcarryoutthefollowingchecks:
•
Warmuptheenginebeforeusingitunderload.
•
Donotoperatetheengineatmaximumpowerforpro-
longedperiodsoftime.
•
Donotruntheengineforalongperiodatidlespeed.
•
Checktheindicatorsonthemultifunctiondisplayfre-
quently.
•
Checktheoillevelsandcoolantlevelfrequently.
