Safetyrules
•
Itistheresponsibilityoftheoperatortoreadandun-
derstandtheoperator’smanualandotherinformation
provided,andusethecorrectoperatingprocedure.Ma-
chinesshouldbeoperatedonlybyqualiedoperators.
•
Donotoperatethismachineorperformmaintenance
workifyouhavenothadappropriatetraining.Read
andfullyunderstandalltheinstructionsandwarnings
inthismanual.
•
Bepreparedforemergencies.Alwayshavearstaid
kitandaworkingreextinguisherwithyouandknow
howtouseeach.
•
Avoidloosettingclothing,looseoruncoveredlong
hair,jewelryandloosepersonalarticles.
•
Knowandusetheprotectiveequipmentthatistobe
wornwhenoperatingthismachine.Hardhats,pro-
tectiveglasses,protectiveshoes,gloves,reectortype
vests,respiratorsandearprotectionareexamplesof
equipmentthatmayberequired.
•
Certainprotectiveequipmentmustbereplacedandre-
newedduetoageorwear.Oldhardhatsmaynotaf-
fordtheoriginalintendedprotection.Fadedandsoiled
vestsarenolongerashighlyvisibleastheoriginalin-
tent.Seethemanufacturer’srecommendation.

Knowandusethehandsignalsrequiredforparticular
jobsandknowwhohastheresponsibilityforsignaling.
•
Weartheseatbelttomaximizetheprotectioncapability
ofaROPS(RollOverProtectiveStructure)whenthe
machineissoequipped.
•
InspecttheROPSandseatbeltmountingboltsona
dailybasistoensuretheirintegrity.
•
Donotpermitridersonthemachineifthereisnoman-
ufacturer’sdesignatedplaceforarider.
•
Makesurethatallprotectiveguards,canopies,doors,
etc.areinplaceandsecure.
•
Removealllooseobjectsstoredinthemachine.Re-
moveallobjectswhichdonotbelonginoronthema-
chineanditsequipment.
Attachmentquickcouplersafetyinformation
•
Alwaysinspectthecouplerlockingpinextensionbe-
foreoperatingthemachine.Positionthelockingpinsin
youreldofvisionandmakecertaintheyareengaged
properly.
•
Improperlylockedattachmentscouldreleaseand
causeseriousinjury.
•
Donotattempttoengageattachmentwithlockingpins
extended.
•
Makecertainthatlockingpinsandconnectionsarefree
ofdirtormudbeforeattemptingtoengageanddisen-
gagetheattachment.
•
Donotextendorretractcouplerlockingpinswithat-
tachmentonthegroundorinthedumpposition.
•
Ifanydamageisvisibleonthecouplerorattachment
points,donotoperateorattachbucket.
•
Neverstandunderanattachmentorallowotherstodo
so.Donotallowanyoneunderelevatedloads.
•
Donotliftloadsorpushmaterialswiththecouplerwith-
outanattachment.Thiscancausedamagetothecou-
plercomponents.
•
Checkcoupleroperationperiodicallyforanyunusual
movementand/ornoise.
•
Inspecthydraulichosesforanyleaksordamage.
•
Visuallyinspectweldsandifnecessarycontactyour
dealer.
•
Checkforanyloosebolts.T orqueasrequired.
•
Donotmodifythemachineorattachments.Suchmod-
icationscandamageand/oraffecttheintegrityofthe
attachmentandcanaffectsafetyandfunctionoftheat-
tachmentand/ormachine.
•
Checkallcontrolsinaclearareaandmakecertainthe
machineisoperatingcorrectly.
