Presstheautoshiftbuttononthemultifunctionkeypadto
putthetransmissionintheautomaticmode.
Automaticshiftingmode
Whenthetransmissionisintheautomaticmode,the
transmissionwillstartoutinsecondgear,andautomat-
icallyshiftupuntilthegearselectedhasbeenreached.
Thetransmissionwillalsoshiftdownautomaticallyasthe
speeddecreases.

Youcanusethekick-downbuttontoshiftdownthrough
thegearsinsinglesteps.Eachtimeyoupressthe
kick-downbutton,thetransmissionwillshiftdown
onegearrangeuntiltherstgearisreached.Once
thekick-downbuttonhasbeenpresseddown,the
transmissionmaximumgearallowedislowered.
Thekick-downbuttonwillreturntotheautomaticmode
inoneofthetwocases,asfollows:
1.whenthetransmissioncontrolleverchangesgear;
2.whenthetransmissioncontrolleverismovedtoNEU-
TRALandthentoFORWARDortoREVERSE.

Shuttleshifting(directionchange)
Itisnotnecessarytobringthemachinetoacomplete
stopwhenchangingdirectionsfromforwardtoreverse
orreversetoforward(transmissionineitherautomaticor
manualshiftingmodes).Forsmoothoperationandop-
eratorcomfort,reducetheenginespeedbeforedirection
changes.
