Checktheengineairlterperiodicallyfordirtanddebrisbuildup.Replacetheengineprimaryandsecondaryairlter
every2000hoursoreachyear,whicheveroccursrst.
Prioroperation:
Keepallnon-authorizedpersonnelclearofthearea.Parkthemachineonlevelground,inneutralwiththeparking
brakeappliedandtheattachmentloweredtotheground.
NOTE:replacetheprimaryelementifthelterwarninglampontheinstrumentclusterilluminatesortheaudiblealarm
sounds.ifthecautionwarningscontinueafterheprimarylterreplacement,replacethesecondarylteraswell.
NOTE:Replacetheltersmoreoftenifconditionssorequire.
1.Lowerthebucket/attachmenttothegroundandinstall
thetransport/servicelinkintothelockedposition.
2.Raisetheenginehoodtoaccesstheengineairlters.
Theengineairlterislocatedontheleft-handsideof
themachine,behindthemainenginecompartment.

3.Releasethefourclipsthatsecuretheltercover.
Removethecover.

4.Removetheprimarylterelement.Usethehandleto
pulltheelementupandstraightoutofhousing.
NOTE:removeextradebrisandwipetheinsideofthelter
housingwithacleanclothbeforeinstallingnewlterele-
ments.
5.Installthenewprimarylterbyslidingittowardsthe
rearofthemachineanddownintothehousing.
6.Makecertaintheprimaryandsecondaryltersforman
effectiveseal.
