Beforeoperatingthemachine
Beforeoperatingthismachine,completethefollowing
procedures:
1.Checkthelevelofalluids(engineoil,fuel,transmis-
sionoil,DEF/ADBLUE®,hydraulicuid,andcoolant)
andmakesurethattheuidsandlubricantsaresuit-
ableforprevailingconditions.
2.Carryoutthedailymaintenanceoperations.
3.Inspectthemachine,lookforanysignsofpossible
leakageandcheckthehoses.Tightenorreplaceas
necessary.
4.Checkthetiresforanyvisibledamage.Replaceor
repairasnecessary.Checkforcorrecttireairpres-
sureandadjustthepressureifnecessary.
5.Cleanthestepsandhandholds.Grease,oil,mud,
oriceinwinteronthestepsandaccesshandlescan
causeaccidents.Keepthestepsandtheaccess
handlescleanatalltimes.
6.Cleanorreplaceanydecalswhichareillegible.See
“Safetysigns”-Chapter2inthismanualforfurther
information.
7.Makesurethattheengineaccesspanelsandall
doorsareproperlyclosedandlatched.
8.Securethecabdoorineitherfullyclosedorfully
openedposition.
9.Removeanyobstructionswhichhindervisibility.
Cleanthewindshield,thewindowsandtherearview
mirrors,andbackupcameralens.
10.Checkthatnotoolsorotheritemshavebeenlefton
themachineorintheoperator'scompartment.
11.Makesurenooneisonorunderthemachine.The
operatormustbealoneonthemachine.
12.Makesurenooneisstandinginthemachineworking
area.
13.Findoutaboutcurrentsafetymeasuresinuseonthe
worksite.
14.Workoutaconvenientmeansofescapefromthe
machine(emergencyexitviathewindshield,therear
orsidewindowglass)intheeventofthecabdoor
beingjammedorthemachineturningover.
15.Beforeundertakinganytravelorworkingoperations
duringhoursofdarkness,makesurethelightingand
signalingequipmentarefullyoperative.
16.Adjusttheseatsothatyoucanapplythefootbrakes
whenyourbackisagainsttheseatbackrest.
17.Fastenandadjusttheseatbelt.
18.Withtheenginerunningandatoperatingtempera-
ture,checktheinstrumentpanelforcorrectindica-
tions.
19.Checktheloadercontrolsforcorrectoperation.
