out.Whenthegridheaterlightisnolongerilluminated,
turnthekeytotheSTARTposition.Oncetheengine
starts,allowittorunatlowidleuntiltheenginecoolant
temperatureiswarm.
NOTE:iftheenginestartsandthenstops,donoten-
gagethestartermotoragainuntilthestartermotor
stopsturning.Letthemotorcoolfortwominutesbe-
forecrankingagain.
NOTICE:thestarterhasanautomaticcut-outtopro-
tectitself.Incoldweatherconditions,extendedcrank-
ingmaybenecessary.

PresstheparkingbrakebuttontotheOFFposition
•
PlacethetransmissioncontrolleverintotheFOR-
WARDorREVERSEposition
•
Releasethefootbrakeandacceleratesmoothly
10.Usethetransmissioncontrollevertoshiftmanually
thetransmissiongearsfromrstgearthroughdrive.
Turnthetransmissioncontrolleverawayfromyou
toselectahighergear.Turnthelevertowardyou
toselectalowergear.Alsousethiscontrollever
toputthetransmissioninFORWARD,NEUTRAL,
andREVERSE.
