Hazardouschemicals

Ifyouareexposedto,orcomeincontactwith,
hazardouschemicalsyoucanbeseriouslyinjured.
Theuids,lubricants,paints,adhesives,coolants,
etc.requiredforthefunctionofthemachinecanbe
hazardous.Theymaybeattractiveandharmfulto
domesticanimalsaswellashumans.
•
SafetyDataSheets(SDS)provideinformationabout
chemicalsubstanceswithinaproduct,safehandling
procedures,rstaidmeasures,andprocedurestobe
takenintheeventofaspilloraccidentalrelease.SDS
areavailablefromyourdealer.
•
Beforeyouservicethemachine,checktheSDSfor
eachlubricant,uid,etc.usedinthemachine.This
informationindicatestheassociatedrisksandwillhelp
youservicethemachinesafely.Followtheinformation
intheSDS,onmanufacturer'scontainers,aswellas
theinformationinthismanualwhenservicingthema-
chine.

Disposeofalluids,lters,andcontainersinanenvi-
ronmentallysafemanneraccordingtolocallawsand
regulations.Checkwithlocalenvironmentalandrecy-
clingcentersoryourdealerforcorrectdisposalinfor-
mation.
•
Storeuidsandltersinaccordancewithlocallaws
andregulations.Useonlyappropriatecontainersfor
thestorageofchemicalsorpetrochemicalsubstances.
•
Keepoutofreachofchildrenorotherunauthorizedper-
sons.
Transportingprecautions
•
Knowtherules,laws,andsafetyequipmentnecessary
fortransportingthismachineonaroadorhighway.
•
Useappropriatelightingasdenedbylocalregulations.
Makesuretheslowmovingvehicle(SMV)and/orspeed
indicator(SIS)isvisiblewhendrivingonapublicroads
orhighways.
Fireextinguisher
•
Areextinguisheronboardisrecommendedforall
constructionequipment.
•
Contactyourdealerforthetypeandlocationofare
extinguisherforthismachine.
Precautionsspecictothismachine
•
Keeptheloadorbucket/attachmentaslowaspossible
whilemovingthemachinearoundthejobsite.
•
Hydrauliccircuitswithaccumulatorsmaycontainresid-
ualpressure.Youmustknowwhichcircuitshaveaccu-
mulatorsandhowtoreleasepressureproperly.
•
Whenservicingthemachine,turnthemachineoff,
placetheattachmentontheground,releasehydraulic
pressure,andsettheemergencybrake.Ifyoumust
servicethemachinewiththeliftarmsraised,usethe
liftarmsupportstrutwiththeboltturnedcompletelyin
andliftarmloweredontoandsupportedbythestrut.
