Configuring an Ethernet-Based Connection
1. In the Port drop-down list, do one of the following:
• To configure an Ethernet-based connection through the WAN port, select
WAN.
• To configure an Ethernet-based connection through the DMZ/WAN2 port,
select WAN2.
This option is available in non-ADSL models only.
• To configure an Ethernet-based connection through a LAN port, select the
desired LAN port.
The selected port is automatically assigned to Internet use. For information on viewing
a port's assignment, see Viewing Port Statuses. on page
210
2. In the Connection Type drop-down list, select the Internet connection type you
intend to use.
The display changes according to the connection type you selected.
