TRANSPORTING TRACTOR
Tractors are best transported in at-
bed carriers. Use chains to secure
the tractor to the carrier.
The axles and tractor frame are suit-
able attachment points.
Before transporting the tractor on
a low-loader truck or flatbed rail
wagon, make sure that the hood is
secured over the tractor engine and
that doors, roof hatch (if equipped)
and windows are properly closed.
Never tow a tractor at a speed great-
er than 10 km/h (6 mph). An operator
must steer and brake the tractor un-
der tow.
LOADING INTO AND UNLOADING OUT OF THE TRUCK
1. Check the width of the cargo bed
of a transporting vehicle or trailer.
2. Set ramps to the transporting vehi-
cle rmly.
3. The length of the loading ramps
should be at least four times the
height of the loading bed.
4. It is recommended to back the
tractor onto the transporting ve-
hicle and drive the tractor OFF in
the forward direction.
