The suction line must always be installed sloping upwards towards the
metering pump.

A metering monitoring instrument, such as an oval gear motor (pos. 1), or
flow monitor
, must be installed into the metering line downstream of the
overflow valve and upstream of a pressure control valve or metering valve.
6.3.3 Connection of the suction and pressure lines (metering lines)
CAUTION!
Ensure that the required seal is achieved when connecting the suction and
pressure lines by fitting
O-rings on the
connections.
In order to protect the metering system, we strongly recommend the use of a
suction lance with an empty signal system and dirt trap from our accessory
programme! The empty signal system causes the pump to cut off if the medium
in the container drops below a certain level.
