Alarms Configuration for the Nitrogen Machine Option
Introduction The alarms related to the Nitrogen Option are found in the Setup > Alarms >
Option screen. All of the alarms are set to Warning level as the default setting.
Note that if nothing is selected for an event, that event is ignored by the machine.
In the Options setup screen, “Chamber Hood Open” and “Cooling Hood Open”
are hard coded into the software. They may not be deselected. Additionally, if an
alarm activates for one of those two events, the ntirogen turns Off.
Alarm Event
Description
SMEMA PCB Transfer Error
An alarm indicates a problem either receiving a board from upstream or att-
mepting to pass the board downstream.
Output Photocell PCB Dropped
An alarm indicates if the PCB does not reach the output photocell when
expected.
Output Photocell PCB Jammed
An alarm indicates that the PCB remains beneath the output photocell longer
than expected.
UPS Power Fail
The UPS is supplying power to the machine due to a power failure.
IFM Low Coolant Flow
If the cooling fluid in the IFM operates below the pressure required, a warning
alarm generates.
Low Nitrogen Pressure
Nitrogen pressure is not adequate to maintain 44 psi (3 Bar) at the flow
meters.
Low Exhaust Pressure
Exhaust pressure is not adequate to maintain 600 cfm (1019 m3/hr) at the
main stack.
Low Coolant Flow
Coolant flow through the heat exchangers is inadequate.
Chamber Hood Open
The limit switch monitoring the chamber hood activates a “Chamber Hood
Open” alarm and turns Off the nitrogen at that time.
Cooling Hood Open
The limit switch monitoring the cooling hood activates a “Cooling Hood
Open” alarm and turns Off the nitrogen at that time.
