Use this function to assign the 0/4 mA current a value.
The value can be higher or lower than the value assigned to 20 (function VALUE
20 mA (4003), see Page 62). Positive and negative values are permissible,
depending on the measured variable in question (e.g. mass flow).
Example:
4 mA assigned value = - 250 kg/h
20 mA assigned value = +750 kg/h
Calculated current value = 8 mA (at zero flow)
! Note!
Note that values with different signs cannot be entered for 0/4 mA and 20 mA
(function 4003) if SYMMETRY is the setting selected for the MEASURING MODE
function (4004). In this case the message “INPUT RANGE EXCEEDED” appears
on the display.

– UNIT DENSITY (0420)
– UNIT REFERENCE DENSITY (0421)
– UNIT TEMPERATURE (0422)

The current output responds differently, depending on the parameters set in the
various functions. Some examples of parameter settings and their effect on the
current output are given in the following section.
