3.3 Printer setup
This section describes the setup. The flow of preparing to use printer is below
Note:
If your printer is equipped with the endorsement function, you also need to install the endorsement ribbon
cassette, which is smaller than the standard ribbon cassette. If your printer isn’t equipped with the
endorsement function, you don’t need to install it.
When you use this printer with a serial interface, you have to adjust the communication settings.
See “Customizing” (page 3-18) for how to set them.
3.3.1 Connecting the Power Supply Unit (PS-180)
Use the optional EPSON PS-180 power supply or equivalent for your printer.
WARNING:
Make sure you use the EPSON PS-180 power supply or equivalent. Using an incorrect
power supply may cause fire or electrical shock.
3. Install roll paper
2. Install ribbon cassette(s)
1. Connect power supply (PS-180)
Complete set up
4. Connect the printer to host PC / POS terminal
2. Installing the Endorsement Ribbon Cassette
(Endorsement function is a factory option)
