4. ER1 should remind you every day at 9:00 A.M. to “Remember to feed the fish.”
5. Save the behavior and then click on Open to get a new, blank behavior set.
Remind you to call your Mom every Wednesday night
1. On Wednesday, select a blank behavior tab, then under If checkmark Time and set the
time when you want to call your Mom. Let’s wait until the rates go down, so make it
at 8:30 P.M., and select Weekly.
2. Under Then, click on Play a Sound and type, “Call Mom” in the Phrase to Speak
field.
3. Click ER1’s Run it button.
4. ER1 should remind you every Wednesday at 8:30 P.M. to give Mom a ring.
5. Save the behavior and then click on Open to get a new, blank behavior set.
Give you five-minute, advance notice before your next class
1. Under If on a blank behavior tab, checkmark Time and set the time when you want to
be reminded to hurry off to class. If your class begins at 10 A.M. and you only want to
be reminded today, set the time to 9:55 A.M. and select Once.
2. Under Then, click on Play a Sound and type “You better get moving. You’re going to
be late for class” in the Phrase to Speak field.
3. Click ER1’s Run it button.
4. ER1 should remind you to go to class at 9:55 A.M.
5. Save the behavior and then click on Open to get a new, blank behavior set.
Play your favorite song at the same time every day
1. Under If on a blank behavior tab, checkmark Time and set the time when you want to
hear your favorite song. So, if you just adore hearing “Santa Lucia” at precisely 6:30
P.M. every day, enter 6:30 P.M. and select Daily.
2. Under Then, click on Play a Sound, browse to “Santa Lucia” on your hard drive (You
do have Santa Lucia on your hard drive, don’t you?), click on it and press the Ok
button.
3. Click ER1’s Run it button.
4. ER1 should play “Santa Lucia” every day at 6:30 P.M.
5. Save the behavior and then click on Open to get a new, blank behavior set.
Play your favorite music with a voice command
1. Under If on a blank behavior tab, checkmark Sound and type “favorite song” in the
Listen for field.
2. Under Then, click on Play a Sound and browse for your favorite song on your hard
drive (I know you like “Santa Lucia”). Click on it and press the Ok button.
