ST100A Series Flow Meter TROUBLESHOOTING
Fluid Components International LLC 103
Table 34 – Detailed CORE Fault Register (CORE 2V Command)
Device Error: If any of these errors occurs: I2C error, UART error, Mutex error, watchdog reset
CORE unable to update process data (PD_NO_FE_DATA). Unable to obtain/use data from any Active FEs
CORE detects FRAM/SPI error
CORE reports SD card error. Either initialization (corrupt card) error, or card became full (error while writing). For ST100A only.
CORE unable to communicate with one or more FEs (PD_COMM_ERROR)
CORE: averaged flow out of range of “Flow Min” or “Flow Max”
CORE: averaged temperature above “Temperature Max”
CORE: averaged temperature below “Temperature Min”
FE Heater is shorted or below operating limit.
FE Heater monitoring ADC fails to respond.
FE Heater is open or above operating limit.
The Reference-R ADC converter fails to respond.
The Reference-R ADC’s count number is below the minimum.
Process flow is above the maximum limit.
The ADC for monitoring the temperature inside the unit fails to respond.
The Delta-R ADC fails to respond.
ST80: Not used. ST100A: 4-20mA Input / Pressure Input ADC fails to respond.
Reference-R value is above operating limit.
The Inter-Integrated Circuit channel 0 bus fails to communicate.
The ADC for monitoring heater’s conditions fails to respond.
The port expansion integrated chip fails to respond.
The FRAM of the Flow Element fails to respond.
The Active excitation current Integrated Circuit (IC) fails.
The Reference excitation current Integrated Circuit (IC) fails.
CORE: process data are not updated because (all) FE's are in self-test mode, or the system is in non-operating mode.
Reference-R value is below operating limit.
Delta-R value is above operating limit.
Delta-R value is below operating limit.
The unit is performing a (diagnostic) test.
Notes: 1. Fault Type reflects factory default programming. The Fatal/Non-Fatal designation is programmable via the Configurator software’s FE Faults tab (Factory
branch menu tree – requires entry of appropriate level password).
