Chapter 7 Installing Internal Options
7 Attach the top cover.

8 Push the server back into the rack.
Store the removed slot cover in a safe place.
■ When Using the Standard Card Slot Conversion Feature
1 Turn off the power to the server and all peripheral devices and remove the top
cover.

2 Touch a metal part of the server to discharge static electricity.
3 Remove the riser card.
Loosen the hand screw that fixes the back of server and the riser card and lift the riser card to
remove it.
4 Unlock the slot cover and remove the slot cover from the riser card.
Store the removed slot cover in a safe place.
